Ali Marks
Education Systems & Institutional Accountability StrategistAli Marks is a veteran New York City public school educator with over two decades of classroom experience, bringing an inside perspective on how curriculum, policy, and institutional decisions translate into classroom practice. Her work examines how educational frameworks, governance structures, and implementation decisions shape not only student outcomes, but how students interpret history, themselves, and their place in the world.
She developed The EMET Project, a research and accountability model designed to identify gaps between intention and impact in education systems—particularly in areas related to misinformation, antisemitism, and ideological bias. Built to work across educational settings, the model supports more effective decision-making while strengthening transparency and oversight across the systems that shape classroom practice.
Ali’s work contributes to Global Peace for Israel’s initiatives to investigate, expose, and address systemic challenges within K–12 education and the broader systems that shape it. She connects classroom-level experience with systems-level analysis, making visible the patterns education systems produce but rarely acknowledge and translating them into actionable insights that strengthen accountability—because education does more than transmit knowledge; it shapes the lens through which students understand truth, history, and the world.
